alluded have been dealt with, and their hearing should not occupy many sittings of the Court, Mr. Shepherd will resign his post as Member, and I propose to allow Mr. Gompertz to dispose of the few remaining cases in New Kowloon, the parties to which have already signified their willingness to have their cases determined by one Member under Section 3 Sub-

section (c) of Ordinance 18 of 1900. Thereafter it is probable that I may find it advantageous to make other arrangements for the final settlement of all outstanding land claims and the winding up of the judicial work of the Land Court in the

rest of the New Territory.
